Senior Accountant - Frankfurt, Germany

Meraki Talent are currently seeking a detail-oriented and ambitious Senior Accountant who is ready to take ownership of key accounting activities and support the wider finance function in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity

As Senior Accountant, you will play a central role in the day-to-day finance operations, and working closely with cross-functional teams. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a value-adding role with strong exposure to both technical accounting and commercial finance, with clear potential for future progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Support the month close process, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors during the year-end process
• Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of the general ledger and related financial records
• Support group reporting activities and internal management reporting
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with finance transformation projects

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred
• Experience in both audit (e.g. Big 4 or mid-tier) and in-house finance roles is a strong advantage
• Solid understanding of German GAAP and IFRS
• Experience preparing financial statements and managing audit processes
• Strong attention to detail, with an analytical mindset and proactive approach
• Fluency in German and English is essential
