Senior Accountant (German Tax & VAT)

Detailed Job Description

• Manage German VAT and indirect tax compliance including filings and coordination with tax authorities
• Support month-end and year-end close including journals accruals and prepayments
• Prepare financial statements P&L balance sheets and management reports
• Support internal and external audits and respond to audit queries
• Coordinate payroll-related financial inputs and employee cost data in collaboration with HR
• Work closely with Finance leadership and internal stakeholders across functions

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant
• Strong knowledge of German VAT / indirect tax regulations
• Solid understanding of GAAP / IFRS
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Fair to good German language skills (working proficiency required)
• Strong communication skills and a structured detail-oriented working style
