Our client is a rapidly growing international SaaS company that delivers innovative software solutions to enterprise customers worldwide. With operations across Europe, the organization is scaling quickly and is now strengthening its Finance function.

The Role

As Senior Accountant, you will take full ownership of accounting activities under HGB , working closely with international Finance, FP&A, Tax, and Operations teams. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic tech environment, enjoys improving processes, and feels comfortable working in a cross-border setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and oversee day-to-day accounting operations
• Lead AP/AR processes and fixed asset accounting
• Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and cross-functional teams
• Ensure compliance with HGB, internal controls, and SaaS-relevant revenue/accounting guidelines
• Support the month-end close, consolidation activities, and intercompany reconciliations
• Drive process optimization, automation, and digitalization initiatives in Finance
• Provide management with financial reports, variance analyses, and ad-hoc insights
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and cash management when required

Your Profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in HGB accounting, ideally within a fast-paced tech or SaaS environment
• Strong knowledge of HGB (IFRS experience is a plus, but not required)
• Experience with cloud-based accounting tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, DATEV, MS Dynamics)
• Excellent Excel skills and a data-driven mindset
• High attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in an international setting with cross-functional stakeholders
• Fluency in German (C1) and good English communication skills
