Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to join our Finance team. In your day‑to‑day work, you’ll manage all accounting tasks, financial statements, and the timely preparation of figures for controlling while ensuring compliance with HGB standards. Responsibilities

• Ensure day‑to‑day transactions such as accounts payable, cash receipts, accounts receivable, credit card transactions, and payroll are recorded properly.
• Perform timely and accurate month‑end journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations, ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
• Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.
• Ensure all finance and accounting operations comply with GAAP and federal and state laws.
• Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Summarise financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents.
• Support and oversee tax audits (both internal and external) and tax returns.

Your Profile

• Several years of experience as an accountant, preferably in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong knowledge of typical accounting procedures, general ledger functions, and the month‑end/year‑end close process.
• Good knowledge of HGB accounting principles; IFRS experience is a bonus.
• Proficiency in SAP S4/HANA and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Hands‑on, structured, and organized work approach.
• Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects and processes.
• Commercial training as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Fluency in German and English is required.
