Senior Manager Accounting & Finance Projects (m/f/d)

We are partnering with a Berlin-based technology company, part of a well-established international tech group, currently looking to strengthen its finance function with a Manager Accounting & Finance Projects.

This is a key role at the intersection of accounting, systems, and transformation , with a strong focus on modern finance architecture and ERP-driven processes .

The Role

In this position, you will take on a dual responsibility : leading parts of the accounting function while driving finance systems and transformation initiatives .

You will play a key role in optimising and further developing the ERP landscape , with a focus on automation, system integration, and scalable finance processes .

This role is particularly suited for candidates who have worked in modern, cloud-based ERP environments (e.g. Workday Financials) and enjoy combining accounting expertise with systems and project work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support an accounting team (team lead / managerial responsibility)
• Oversee core accounting processes and ensure high-quality financial operations
• Drive and support ERP-related projects , including implementation, optimisation, and enhancements
• Act as a key interface between Finance, IT, and Product / Systems teams
• Improve and standardise accounting processes within a system-driven environment
• Support the development of a scalable, automated finance setup
• Contribute to cross‑functional finance and transformation initiatives

Your Profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Several years of experience in accounting / finance functions
• Proven leadership or team lead experience
• Strong background in finance project management and ERP environments
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (HGB / IFRS)
• Hands‑on experience with modern ERP systems ; exposure to Workday Financials or similar cloud-based systems is highly desirable
• Experience working in system‑driven, scalable finance environments
• Structured, hands‑on, and solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus, not required)
