Job Purpose/Role:

• Support in transformation and M&A-related projects: Alignment with different departments and stakeholders on the implications of the transformation; Analysis of impact of the transformation projects on existing setup; Definition of requirements for aligning to as‑is picture to the to‑be scenario.
• Management of financial closing activities for insurance and reinsurance accounting: Run and reconciliation of closing processes, with posting of transactional figures for technical reserves and reinsurance; Definition of requirements for new reporting needs; Validation of requirements implementation.
• Driving further automation and implement efficiency gains in the technical accounting area to make all processes scalable for new business initiatives.
• Main contact person for auditors for several insurance and reinsurance accounting-related topics.

Qualifications/Key skills:

• University degree in mathematics, business administration, business engineering or comparable.
• Very good university qualifications (CFA, FRM, MBA are a plus).
• Fluent in business English; business proficiency in German, Italian, Spanish or Dutch is also very welcome.
• Good understanding of how insurance business works.
• Extensive experience with SAP and SQL.

Education & Experience:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role in insurance accounting.
• Broad financial expertise with focus on accounting with capability to develop and manage state-of-the-art financial processes.
• Basic understanding of actuarial work a definite plus.
• Very sharp analytical and conceptual skills.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
• Team spirit, a demonstrably thorough working style and ability to work under pressure.
