Your tasks

b) Tasks:

• The role focuses on the operation and project planning of extensive virtualization and VDI platforms.
• Core Tasks (Specific): Platform operation: responsibility for the operation of a comprehensive platform based on VMware. Project planning & commissioning: Project planning and implementation of commissioning as well as management of complex orders including scheduling of resources and suppliers. Analysis & Troubleshooting: Problem and error analysis as well as problem solving in complex system landscapes. Conception & strategy: Creation of decision templates, concepts and strategic planning for the area organization. Conception, introduction and monitoring of measures to ensure service levels and customer satisfaction. Design and introduction of supporting tools and workflows. Portfolio & Documentation: Collaboration in the further development of the portfolio, technical management of acquisitions and maintenance and updating of documentation. Public projects: Participation in projects of public clients (federal or state).

Your profile

• Degree: Master's or diploma degree with adequate experience or comparable knowledge.
• Professional experience: At least 7 years of professional experience, of which at least 5 years in IT administration with an appropriate level of complexity.
• Seniority: Long-term experience in the role, excellent know-how and full responsibility for the area of activity in large national/international projects.
• Professional competencies (hard skills): VDI & Virtualization: profound experience with OMNISSA Horizon platform as well as experience with VMware vSphere platform (esp. VMware VCenter, Portgroups & vSwitches) | Security: experience with VMware Firewall-Microsegmentation is desirable | Software: confident with MS Office product suite.
• Certifications & Languages: Certification: ITIL Expert certification or comparable | Languages: Business fluent German and very good English skills
