Senior AI / Azure Solution Engineer

• Develop and deliver full Azure-based solutions integrating LLM, backend, and API components.
• Deploy Azure OpenAI models with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and ranking pipelines.
• Control Hallucinations
  • Ensure outputs are deterministic with enforced citations, traceability, and zero hallucination risk.
• Design and implement batch processing pipelines in Python or equivalent backend languages.
• Configure and utilize Blob Storage or ADLS for secure, scalable data storage solutions.
• Configure Cognitive Search
  • Set up and maintain Azure Cognitive Search for indexing, retrieval, and relevance scoring.
• Integrate API Services
  • Connect to Confluence API and other endpoints for content retrieval, parsing, and normalization.
• Build Containerized Applications
  • Deploy Azure Functions, App Services, or Container Apps to run backend and AI workloads.
• Enforce Deterministic Behavior
  • Ensure all processes log decisions, produce predictable outputs, and adhere to engineering standards.
• Implement Security & Identity
  • Use Managed Identity and Azure security best practices to enforce access control and compliance.
• Monitor & Log Solutions
  • Implement full logging for observability, auditing, and troubleshooting of all system components.
• Deliver Proofs of Concept
  • Independently execute technical PoCs demonstrating architecture, functionality, and performance.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders
  • Work closely with product, compliance, and architectural teams to align on requirements and traceability.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of commercial experience as backend, platform, or solution engineer.
• 3+ years working with Azure services including Blob Storage, ADLS, App Service, and Functions.
• 1–2+ years practical experience with Azure OpenAI, RAG pipelines, and output control.
• Advanced Python skills for backend development, batch pipelines, and AI integrations.
• API Integration Knowledge
  • Experience connecting, parsing, and normalizing content from Confluence and similar APIs.
• Deterministic Engineering Mindset
  • Ability to enforce predictable results, full decision logging, and fail-loud principles.
• Experience configuring indexing, retrieval, ranking, and relevance in Azure Cognitive Search.
• Containerized Deployment Skills
  • Experience deploying solutions using Azure Functions, App Services, or Container Apps.
• Security & Managed Identity
  • Hands-on experience applying Managed Identity and access controls for secure solutions.
• PoC Delivery Experience
  • Proven ability to independently deliver end-to-end technical proofs of concept.
• Traceability & Compliance Awareness
  • Understanding of audit, compliance, and traceability requirements in enterprise projects.
• Technical Documentation Skills
  • Ability to read, write, and maintain technical and architectural documentation
• Experience interacting with Jira API for read/write operations is desirable.
