Your Responsibilities

As part of the JTL Security Team, you’ll join a technically skilled, developer-focused group at the heart of the company. Our mission is to protect the JTL Group against a wide range of IT security threats. Together with our development teams, we design secure products and services — for both our on-premise solutions and the growing cloud environment. You can look forward to a diverse and challenging range of topics that require both technical excellence and strategic thinking.

• You further develop our Secure Software Development Lifecycle — from architecture and CI/CD to operations.
• You bring security into developers’ daily work: IDE plugins, SAST, security unit tests, golden images.
• You analyze risks (threat modeling) and help teams handle them pragmatically.
• You coach developers and product owners on security topics — as a trusted peer.
• You make security measurable, understandable, and scalable.

Our Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Application Security, with a strong focus on Secure Development.
• Solid proficiency in at least one programming language, as well as experience in scripting and automation.
• A strong understanding of modern security standards and frameworks such as OWASP ASVS or NIST.
• The ability to work independently with a high level of technical expertise and a pragmatic approach.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex security requirements in a clear and comprehensible manner.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; good German skills are an advantage.
