Senior Applied Research Engineer (m/w/d)

Developing and improving rule-based and heuristic algorithms to efficiently generate and evaluate solutions in complex systems.

Contributing to optimization workflows and solver-based systems , including implementing and integrating algorithmic components into production software.

Supporting and improving simulation and evaluation systems used to validate and compare solution strategies.

Working on core data models representing complex relationships , including structured and graph-like datasets.

Improving system performance through iterative optimization and parameter tuning of algorithmic components.

Collaborating on data-driven and AI-based approaches , including pattern recognition and predictive models when relevant.

• Strong programming experience with Python and TypeScript/Node.js , including building production-ready backend services and data-driven systems.

Senior-level experience designing and implementing scalable software architectures and maintainable codebases.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience improving system performance and efficiency in production environments.

Experience working with complex data models and interconnected datasets , including designing APIs and data processing pipelines.

Proven experience building long-term sustainable software end-to-end , from architecture to deployment and maintenance.

Ability to work independently on complex technical problems , while collaborating effectively within engineering teams.

Comfortable working in large and complex codebases , maintaining quality and consistency across evolving systems.
