Senior Authorised Person (SAP)

Stellenbeschreibung:

  • Understand the need for and adherence to the Permit to Work and Lock-Out Tag-Out Procedures and follow safe working practices.
  • Understanding of the site specific ESSOW (Electrical Safe System of Work).
  • Review and understanding of Sub-Contractor COHE (Control of Hazardous Energies)
  • Review and approve Sub-Contractor Electrical RAMS
  • Ensure that all works are conducted in accordance with the Microsoft directive SPS-101 and 102.
  • Control of the LOTO systems
  • Control of safe switching (Energisation/Isolations) during the commissioning phase.
  • Ensure that all warning signs are in place and checked at regular intervals
  • Reporting of any electrical incidents to PM and HSE
  • Ensure the segregation of hazardous areas and the correct use of Electrical PPE

Technical

  • Understand, interpret and work from various forms of project drawings such as SLD's, Wiring Diagrams, schematics etc.
  • Understanding of EN and local code Regulations.
  • Inspect, commission, troubleshoot, associated control systems and power circuits and switchgear
  • Develop Energisation sequences and plans and lead energisation meetings with all stake holders prior to energisation
  • Perform a variety of commissioning duties including, but not limited to, MCC's, VSD's, distribution panels, motors, lighting and small power circuits.
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of all applicable policies and work methods associated with assigned duties to commission electrical equipment and to perform other duties as required.
  • Understand, interpret and work from various forms of project documentation such as Punchlist Procedure, As Built Procedure, Vendor Manuals etc.
  • Perform testing, Insulation Resistance, Ductor, HV-VLF, Protection Relay, grounding etc. providing a sound knowledge of the testing equipment to be utilised
  • Creation of switching schedules/notes in conjunction with the Energy Marshall
  • Perform all ‘First Time’ energisations
  • Ensure that the correct tags are applied to all equipment awaiting energisation
  • Ensure that all AP’s (Authorised Persons) have received the appropriate training and awareness of site conditions.
  • Assistance within the Commissioning process from Level 1 through to Level 5.
  • Control of the Electrical Permit to Work system
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with site supervisors, peer workers and vendors.
  • Review of commissioning process’
  • Co-ordinate and assist in electrical incident investigations

Communication/Reporting

  • Management of the “In Progress” snagging system ensuring that the supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable.
  • Issue internal weekly progress report, to the Project Manager, highlighting areas not available, and delays, shortage of design, third party hold ups and percentage. This will be rolled up into the external Project report.
  • Ensure that communications to the GC/Client are timely, clear and precise in relation to switching operations.
  • Conduct ‘Pre Energisation meetings’ with RCxM, CxA and all other stake holders prior to all ‘first time’ energisations as per CxPOR

  • Experience training, assessing and Authorising AP’s to work under their instruction.
  • Experience managing work and safety precautions across control boundaries.
  • Experience performing / supervising advance cable works including phasing, testing, identifying & spiking
