Senior Automation Engineer | Stuttgart, Germany | Long-term Contract Hire

This is a hybrid working, multi-year project assignment available to both local and non-German speakers. Travel may be needed to ensure project delivery expectations are met.

Summary:

Blackfield Associates is currently supporting one of our key pharmaceutical manufacturing partners in their search for a Senior Automation Engineer in Stuttgart, Germany. This role focuses on creating and developing HMI and SCADA applications with Aveva InTouch, installing computer operating system and software environments on an ESXi platform with virtual machines in a distributed system (Distributed System Design) with Thin Manager.

This will be a long-term contract hire opportunity with direct influence on their full‑high‑tech systems and machinery projects within an international pharmaceutical environment.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment (GMP; GAMP, Data Integrity, 21 CFR Part 11)
• Ability to provide majority on‑site presence (circa 75% site based)
• Full language ability in English, German is a bonus.
• Strong experience (5+ years) with SCADA programming/development.
• Proven skills working with all, or most of the below, in a professional environment:
  • Aveva InTouch (Terminal Server / Client solution)
  • System Platform HMI System
  • Archestra Graphics HMI Toolbox
  • SQL Database
  • RDP (Terminal Services) / Thin Client System
  • ESXi Server / Server Systems
  • VMware / Virtual Server Systems
