Job Description

The Cloud Services team at valantic develops and operates highly critical infrastructure for the global financial industry based on state-of-the-art cloud technologies. Our systems connect our customers to the world's largest stock exchanges with latencies of just a few milliseconds. Our solutions automate a wide range of processes in the financial world, from trading traditional securities to cryptocurrency settlement.

Effective Field

In your role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, developing and implementing projects in our hybrid SaaS cloud platform. In addition, you will constantly drive the optimization of the environments in terms of performance, security, feature sets and cost-effectiveness. Your tasks will include actively collaborating and interacting with our product development teams in the field of "DevOps" and you will be familiar with topics such as CI/CD and automation. You will support our 2nd level operation team in incidents and change requests as well as in solving moderate to complex problems at 3rd level. Together with the team, you will be responsible for the technical and functional documentation of systems and workflows. You are able to intervene in running systems and quickly implement effective measures. You will create business / IT concepts, technical specifications and architectures.

• You have extensive professional experience and very good expertise in AWS cloud services
• You are familiar with the following stacks and topics: Containerization, AWS Services (Lambda, SQS, EC2, ELB, ECS, ECR, S3, TGW, RDS), CI/CD, Automation
• You enjoy writing Infrastructure as Code and are a fan of Terraform. Bash and Powershell are also good for you
• You have AWS certifications as an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• You have analytical thinking, a high degree of initiative and focus on results in projects and cooperation with other teams (with possible project management)
• Very good knowledge of English

Nice to have:

• You already have experience in orchestration technologies (Nomad, Consul) or AWS Security Services
• Good knowledge of German
