Senior Backend Developer

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of this position is to contribute to the development of Avolta's scalable and modular advertising platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing secure APIs and data models that support campaign creation, media automation, and comprehensive reporting. The role is based in Berlin and will be a part of the Product & Technology team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architect and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs
• Build data models for campaign metadata, assets, and user roles
• Integrate with external services (e.g., SSPs, CMSs, billing systems)
• Ensure system performance, security, and uptime
• Contribute to DevOps and infrastructure planning

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Must have at least 4-6+ years backend development (Node.js, Python, Go, or Java)
• Must have strong in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent DBs
• Must be experienced with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Having knowledge of authentication/authorization systems
• Having exposure to AdTech or campaign management would be ideal
