Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d)

At IntegrityNext, we are committed to making supply chains more sustainable and socially responsible. Our backend services run on Java (with Spring Boot and Hibernate) and Postgres in Docker containers. We use AWS with containers in ECS, we also use RDS, CloudWatch, ElasticSearch, etc. Our team delivers the code according to the motto “you build it, you run it”.

We manage our code in GitHub and use tools like AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild to integrate code changes and deploy new application versions.

• Develop and enhance backend services – Work on the backend side of a client-server application by building new microservices, adding features, and maintaining existing functions
• Understand customer needs – Learn about customer challenges and develop the best possible solutions
• Plan and optimize backend systems – Analyze current requirements to plan and implement future backend updates and improvements
• Contribute to system architecture – Participate in planning everything from database configuration to deployment

• Educational background in software development – Degree in computer science or a related field
• Professional experience as a software engineer – Several years of experience in backend development
• Proficiency in backend technologies – Experience with Java 8 or newer, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Python with FastAPI and Pydantic, and Docker
• Commitment to clean coding – Writing well-documented, tested, and maintainable code
• Database expertise – Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases)
• Experience with microservices – Hands-on experience in building and scaling backend microservice projects, with a desire to grow further in this area
• AWS knowledge (preferred) – Familiarity with AWS Lambda and ECS is an advantage
