Senior Backend Developer (mfd)

Overview

We support our customers in making buildings more climate-friendly, more comfortable and more affordable with connected real estate simple products and high processing and service quality. We provide efficient tailored processes and applications for operating IoT infrastructures in real estate as well as our flexible Enterprise‑IoT‑Suite that manages data from many millions of sensors into intelligent products and services.

Your mission

With a team of product and IT experts, the future position holder will be responsible for further developing beyonnex's Enterprise‑IoT‑Suite and services to ensure a stable and scalable technological foundation for the strategic development of the group.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop backend services to monitor and control millions of IoT devices (sensors and actors).
• Use advanced LoRaWAN features to interact with devices in the buildings of our customers.
• Be involved in every part of the software engineering process and in the lifecycle of the services that your team builds – from requirements design to development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement based on user feedback and usage metrics.
• Work closely with product experts and product owners to build the future of smart energy.

Qualifications

• Proactive problem‑solving mindset.
• Open minded and eager to learn new things.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise way (in English).
• At least 5 years of practical experience working as a Software Developer.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields (or equivalent education and experience).
• Proficiency in development with Kotlin, Java or similar JVM languages.

Optional skills

• Experience working with AWS.
• Experience with IoT development.
• Proficiency with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
• Passion projects that demonstrate enthusiasm for the domain.
