Who we are

We've built Milo, an AI BI Analyst that enables non-technical users to perform complex analyses on their data sources, create persistent BI dashboards, and trigger actions based on their data.

Our customers are able to cut down the time from data request to operational action implemented from days to minutes.

We are a team of 6 and just raised a seed round to boost our engineering and GTM motions.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to the join our Team and build out Milo’s Data Layer. The data layer serves as a central hub for customers to connect their data sources, ingest data into the platform, and label that data. Overall, it ensures the customer’s data is AI-ready.

This includes:

Data ingestion from:
- Databases
- SaaS tools (e.g Salesforce)
- Spreadsheets
- Non structured data (e.g Pdfs)
Data cataloging and modeling
Data access for the AI agent

Current Tech Stack:

Our main backend is fully written in Go with encore.dev being our infra-as-code and CI solution (willing to change this). This also means our app can be deployed to GCP, AWS or Azure independently. We also have some python and typescript services, which we use mostly for SQL optimisation and headless browser workloads. We plan to stick to Go as our primary language, however we are open to using python for more parts of our Data Layer.

Must-haves

5+ years of software development experience
3+ years designing reliable, scalable, enterprise-grade solutions
High competency in type safe languages like Go, Rust, Java, C etc..
Proven track record of building software from the ground up, including infrastructure, CI/CD, and more
Comfortable speaking with customers and taking on multiple roles (support, debugging, operations—you name it).
Strong experience with SQL and a variety of storage systems
Cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Bonus Points For

Experience with event-driven architectures
Experience with ML & data modeling
