Senior Backend Engineer (f/m/d)

About the role As Senior Backend Engineer in our teams, you’ll shape the core of our product. You’ll own backend features end-to-end – from building and scaling integrations (Facebook, Google, Zapier) to fine-tuning performance and reliability with Node.js, MongoDB and Redis. Help users connect their funnels to CRMs, analytics tools and more – making their workflows seamless. Work autonomously, collaborate closely and ship features with real customer feedback, not guesswork. What you'll be doing Develop and improve features with a focus on security, performance and testingOwn core parts of the software and drive concepts from idea to executionCollaborate across teams to solve real business challenges and build impactful solutionsEnsure service health through monitoring, logging, alerting, and infrastructure reliabilityContinuously refine systems through documentation, scaling practices, and database optimizationProactively engage in team rituals, advocate for improvements, and prioritize high-impact initiatives Who you are You have 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with solid Node.js and TypeScript skillsYou’re deeply motivated to own, analyze, and improve critical backend systems in a SaaS environmentYou’ve worked with MongoDB in production, understand queue systems, and are familiar with REST and other API standardsYou bring strong problem-solving skills and a sharp eye for business-relevant bottlenecksYou manage cross-team projects effectively and deliver reliably under time constraintsYou are experienced in building and scaling APIs using best practices like SOLID, DRY, and KISSYou’re fluent in English; German is a plus If you think this job is the right job for you, even though you do not perfectly match the profile, we would still love to hear from you. 🤗 What you can expect at Perspective Remote & Freedom | We strongly believe that every work environment needs to be ideal and fitted to the person.
