What Youll Do

• Actively contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our Ruby on Rails backend in close collaboration with a dynamic, cross-functional team.
• Participate in pair programming, code reviews, and technical spikes to foster collaboration and code quality.
• Work closely with our CTO, Product Lead, and Sustainability Lead to transform customer feedback into impactful features that make a real difference.
• Develop scalable, efficient solutions for complex problems while adhering to clean code principles.
• Help maintain a high standard of code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, and consistent use of ESLint, Rubocop, and other code-quality tools.
• Take ownership of the full deployment process, from testing in a separate environment to live deployment on Heroku, ensuring seamless and reliable platform performance.
• Drive improvements in automation and platform monitoring to ensure we remain at the cutting edge of both technology and sustainability solutions.

Tech Stack Youll Work With

• Backend: Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Rspec, Postgres, Redis, Docker
• Frontend: TypeScript, Vue.js 3, Jest, Cypress, Tailwind
• Hosting & Automation: Heroku, GitHub Actions, various LLMs for automation
• Development Process: Clean code practices, continuous integration, automated testing, and a collaborative peer-review process
