Senior Business Controller

At JBT Marel, we are looking for a Senior Business Controller to support our German manufacturing location in Glinde (Hamburg). This is full-time position, with the possibility to work from home 2 days a week after the onboarding period.

In this key role, you will act as the local finance partner to the business, working closely with operational teams and leadership to ensure strong financial performance, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis that supports strategic decision‑making. You will also have a team of 2 reporting directly to you.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the on‑site finance lead supporting the German business partner and operational teams
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning cycles
• Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to leadership
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses
• Partner cross‑functionally to support data‑driven business decisions
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and local regulations
• Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and systems

What You Bring

To be successful in this role, you are a finance professional who enjoys working close to operations, thrives in a dynamic environment, and brings strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Moreover, We Expect You

• Are fluent German and English (written and spoken)
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar
• Have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Can work independently on site while collaborating globally
• Possess advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems

Nice To Have

• Experience in a multinational or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or LN
• Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA (not mandatory)
