Senior Buyer (m/f/d) - Wholesale

Job Description

Our Buying team plays a key role in selecting and managing the brands on our platform, keeping an eye on trends and market developments. We work closely with internal teams, including Planning, Marketing, and Logistics, to ensure a smooth and efficient product journey. In this team, you will contribute to this process, influencing our assortment and supporting overall business growth.

As aSenior Buyer (m/f/d) you are responsible for the purchasing of wholesale brands and constantly keep an eye on the relevant KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Curate the perfect product mix: Independently purchase exciting new products from external brands, strategically managing the purchasing budget and key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize impact.
• Shape the future of our assortment: Collaborate closely with the Head of Buying or Teamlead Buying to develop and optimize the product range, ensuring it reflects current trends and meets our customer's evolving needs. Your insights will directly influence what appears on our platform.
• Master the art of negotiation: Lead and participate in negotiations with suppliers, securing the best possible terms and conditions to drive profitability and ensure a competitive edge.
• Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and evolving market trends, identifying opportunities to enhance our product offering and stay ahead of the competition.
• Teamwork makes the dream work: Partner closely with the Merchandise Management and planning team, ensuring seamless coordination and communication to optimize the entire product journey, from selection to delivery.
• Own your category: Take ownership of a specific product category, becoming the go-to expert and driving its success through strategic purchasing decisions and supplier relationship management.

Requirements

• Degree in economics or textile management
• At least four years of professional experience inindependent buying of fashion wholesale brands
• Strong analytical thinking and numerical skills
• Several years of negotiating experience
• Strong communication skills and assertiveness
• Structured approach to work and reliability
• Distinct sense of trends and understanding of fashion
• Hands-on mentality
• Business fluent in written and spoken English
