Position: Permanent, full‑time role based in Ingelheim, where you will lead global sourcing strategies that shape how our people move across the world.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, drive high‑impact negotiations, and influence strategic decisions in a dynamic, innovation‑driven environment.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for transient travel, including airlines, travel management companies (TMCs), hotels, rental cars, and ground transport to ensure long‑term cost efficiency and sustainability.
- Lead the execution of global RFPs and negotiate complex, high‑value contracts to secure competitive terms and reliable service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define requirements, select providers, and ensure sourcing solutions align with business needs.
- Manage supplier relationships, identify new partners, evaluate performance, and ensure strategic alignment.
- Assess potential risks and work with local teams to mitigate supply disruptions, ensuring business continuity.
- Support global implementation projects, align with GBS PPM and TMCs, and continuously improve processes through benchmarking and feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Travel Management, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in global category management, specifically in travel procurement (e.g., airlines, TMCs, hotels).
- Strong expertise in sourcing strategy, complex contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
- Hands‑on experience with travel tools and platforms such as CONCUR, GDS systems, and hotel RFP tools like Cvent or Lanyon.
- Deep understanding of TMC operations and the connection between transient travel and MICE categories.
- Fluent in English; German or other languages are a plus.
