Stellenbeschreibung:

Senior Communications Specialist (f/m/d) - China Market

Permanent employee, Full-time · Berlin, hybrid

Your role

eClear is currently looking for a sophisticated communications professional to serve as a trusted right hand to our leadership team in China. This is a rare role that combines high-stakes business translation, strategic communications, and executive support - requiring someone with exceptional language skills, sharp business acumen, and the professional presence to represent eClear in critical business contexts.

You will accompany our CEO and colleagues on regular trips to China, serving as interpreter in business meetings with partners and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication in negotiations and strategic discussions. Between trips, you will build and manage eClear's social media presence in China, establishing our brand voice and engaging with the Chinese market digitally.

This is not a traditional executive support role - you are not booking flights or managing calendars. Instead, you are the cultural and communications bridge that enables our China market strategy. You curate executive trip experiences (restaurant reservations, brief cultural activities), facilitate productive business conversations, and shape how eClear shows up on the Chinese market online.

If you are someone who thrives in dynamic, high-level business environments, can seamlessly switch between languages and cultural contexts, and wants to directly influence how our company expands in China - this role offers exceptional visibility and impact.

What you will do

  • Serve as executive interpreter for our leadership team during business trips to China - translating in real-time during partner meetings, negotiations, and strategic discussions
  • Build eClear's China social media presence from the ground up - develop content strategy, create and manage posts, engage with our audience, and establish our brand voice on the Chinese market
  • Facilitate business relationships - use your cultural fluency to navigate Chinese business dynamics, anticipate communication nuances, and strengthen partner relationships
  • Provide strategic communications support - translate key business documents, prepare briefing materials, and ensure clear communication between our Berlin headquarters and China market activities
  • Travel regularly to China - expect frequent trips (sometimes on short notice) to support business development and partnership activities

Your profile

  • Native-level Mandarin and fluent English (C1+) - you translate complex business discussions in real-time with precision and cultural sensitivity
  • Business acumen and professional presence - you understand business dynamics, and carry yourself with the gravitas these contexts require
  • Formal education in business administration, marketing, communications, or equivalent professional experience
  • Social media experience or strong affinity - you have managed social platforms in China or have genuine curiosity and ideas about building digital presence
  • Cultural fluency in professional Chinese business settings - you know the unspoken rules, communication expectations, and relationship dynamics that make business interactions successful
  • Exceptional communication skills - you tailor your approach seamlessly whether you are interpreting for the leadership, crafting a social post, or coordinating with a restaurant
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail - you anticipate needs, handle logistics proactively, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • High flexibility for travel - comfortable with regular trips to China (potentially monthly or bi-monthly) and occasional short-notice travel

Nice to have:

  • Experience in corporate communications, business translations, or executive support
  • Understanding of tax, e-commerce, or B2B SaaS industries
  • Content creation skills (writing, basic design)

Your first months with us

Month 1-2: Join leadership on trips to China, understand eClear's business model, key partnerships, and communication dynamics; familiarize yourself with our China market strategy

Month 3: Lead translation and interpretation independently during business meetings; establish eClear's social media strategy and initial content

Month 3-6: Take full ownership of executive trip curation and business facilitation; launch eClear's presence on key Chinese social platforms with consistent posting rhythm

Month 6-12: Establish eClear as a recognized voice in China's e-commerce/tax compliance space through strategic content; become an indispensable partner for all China market activities

Why us?

  • Direct C-suite access and visibility - work closely with executive leadership and influence strategic decisions
  • Shape our China market presence - build something from scratch with creative freedom and strategic impact
  • Growth potential - as eClear's China presence grows, so does this role's scope and responsibility
  • Attractive package - competitive compensation, 30 days vacation and company pension scheme
  • Professional, international team environment - work with a highly professional, international team
  • Modern tools and autonomy - Microsoft Office suite, and hybrid flexibility to structure your work effectively

Ready to become eClear's voice and presence in China? We would love to hear from you.
