About The Role

As the Senior Client Manager for Life & Health in the Nordic region, you will be the primary interface between Swiss Re and its reinsurance clients across the Nordic region. This strategic role is pivotal in strengthening Swiss Re’s market presence and delivering client‑centric solutions. The role is based in Munich and reports to the Head Client Management Germany and Nordics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key point of contact for Swiss Re’s L&H clients in the Nordics/Germany, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Build and nurture long‑term client relationships, positioning Swiss Re as the preferred reinsurance partner in the region.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies for both existing and prospective clients, driving business expansion and innovation.
  • Own and manage client accounts, with full responsibility for financial performance across in‑force portfolios and new business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain a robust professional network within the Nordic/German insurance market to identify and pursue opportunities across Swiss Re’s strategic pillars: Core, Solutions, and Transactions.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver tailored solutions and support complex client engagements.
  • Represent Swiss Re at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and professional bodies, acting as a brand ambassador.

About The Team

You will be joining a dynamic and highly motivated team of professionals that are keen to deliver results and help shape the future of Swiss Re's business. As Munich L&H hub we are part of an interconnected Continental European L&H team as well as a global L&H community. The team is highly diverse, comprising different functions relevant to serving our clients, including Client Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, and Medical. The working environment is fast‑paced, collaborative, intellectually stimulating and challenging – and all this with a good pinch of fun.

About You

  • Experience: at least 5 years in Life & Health insurance or reinsurance sector, with Germany and/or Nordic market exposure a plus.
  • Analytical capabilities to interpret market dynamics, anticipate emerging trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proven track record of leading cross‑functional initiatives and project teams.
  • Self‑driven, commercially minded, and entrepreneurial spirit to balance client needs and commercial value.
  • Effective communicator and negotiator, building trust with clients and colleagues across cultures and seniority levels.
  • University degree in mathematics, business administration, or related field (actuarial qualification a plus).
  • Fluent in English and German; Nordic languages a plus.

Role

For Germany, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 99,000 and EUR 165,000 (for a full‑time role). The specific salary offered considers the requirements, scope, complexity, and responsibilities of the role, as well as the applicant’s profile including education, qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills, and experience.
