As a dedicated STACKITEER, you are part of the STACKIT Products division. This is where our products and services are developed, tested and improved.

• You actively work on a Kubernetes Platform Bootstrapping Tool, which enables comfortable platform engineering (CI/CD Pipeline, Observability, Secrets Management, Security, Certificates, and much more).
• Your team compiles best practices for customers and enables them to work safely, quickly, and efficiently with Kubernetes workloads.
• The tool is intended to support its users in a variety of different use cases to easily manage their infrastructure themselves.
• You significantly drive the establishment of an active InnerSource culture within the company and strategically and technically prepare our framework for an open-source release - including building a community.
• You participate in the automation of technical processes, design scalable deployments, and ensure the quality of the framework with the team through comprehensive tests, code reviews, and detailed technical documentation.
• You contribute substantively to important topics such as Policy-as-Code, Vulnerability Management, Observability, and Application Management.
• You support internal teams and future external users with the implementation of the bootstrapping framework. You give workshops, actively share your knowledge, and foster a lively community.

Your profile

• You bring solid experience in the conception, implementation, and operation of Kubernetes platforms and are proficient in handling cloud-native technologies such as Terraform and Helm as well as common CI/CD pipelines. Ideally, you have experience with some other tools from the CNCF Landscape.
• You have deep experience in highly automated environments based on GitOps and are proficient in the use of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, OpenTofu) and templating tools such as Helm or Kustomize. An added bonus would be experience with Backstage or comparable tools.
• You have software development experience, are motivated to learn new technologies, and to program in Go. Ideally, you already have experience or a small reference project.
• You possess very good general IT knowledge and have solid experience with cloud providers, cloud networks, and Linux.
• You already have experience with open-source projects or a strong interest in building and maintaining an InnerSource and Open-Source community.
