This job is about writing technical architecture and cloud roadmaps that follow Azure and industry best practices, tailored to messy realities rather than theoretical diagrams. It's building cost optimization plans that start with billing and usage data, identify idle and oversized resources, model rightsizing and scheduling scenarios, and drive client adoption of budgets and policies. It's end-to-end solution designs and migration strategies that map dependencies, risks, sequencing, and timelines so teams can execute without heroic guesswork.

You'll operate with high autonomy alongside a lean group of architects and FinOps specialists who care about clean designs, hard numbers, and client trust. What You Will Be Doing

• Technical Architecture and Cloud Roadmaps: Repeatable strategic deliverables that guide client infrastructure decisions in Azure.
• Cost Optimization Plans: FinOps-focused recommendations for rightsizing, budgeting, forecasting, and governance to reduce spend and improve efficiency.
• End-to-End Solution Designs and Migration Strategies: Complete designs and phased migration plans for clients moving to or optimizing within Azure.
• Client Workshops, Presentations, and Proposals: External-facing sessions and deliverables to align stakeholders, build trust, and drive project buy-in.

Senior Cloud Solutions Architect Key Responsibilities

Basic Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud architecture and services
• Demonstrated track record in FinOps and cloud cost optimization

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
