The Senior Controller/Manager (Country Oversight) is responsible for the financial oversight, compliance, and operational coordination for the different PropCos in various European countries.
The role requires a general understanding of all financial aspects of fund and asset management in an international environment, a strong business acumen and a good overview of accounting and consolidation requirements. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a structured approach, meticulous attention to detail, punctuality, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight and local compliance
- Monthly check PM and PropCo figures for accuracy and comparison to budget
- Coordination FS for local investment structures, ie. Italy funds, Swedish hold co’s
- Ensure local compliance of the PropCos (taxes, audit, publications)
- Fixed Assets accounting and development controlling
- Coordination local tax compliance and VAT
- Monitor property managers (Deadlines, KPI, contracts)
- Coordinate Corporate Managers, hub in India, Define standard booking logic and ensure it is correctly applied by PM, CM and hub in India
- On and off boarding master data, PMs and CMs
- Point of contact for all property managers in the various national subsidiaries
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, real estate or comparable courses of study (or equivalent experience).
- In-depth knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, consolidation, and annual financial statements
- Experience of working within real estate, or with real estate clients
- A strong focus on the development of business processes and relationships
- The ability to understand business requirements to ensure quality and risk control in real estate management
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), a structured approach to work, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, self‑motivation and teamwork
- Fluent in English, additional European languages are a plus (Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish)
