Who we are
iac Berlin was founded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung to support the development of networks for social impact. As a Do & Think tank, we partner with foundations, academia, public institutions, and non-profit organizations; advise on alumni work; develop practical solutions for the design of impact-oriented networks; and initiate new forms of collaboration.
Our approach
We appreciate, enquire, and steward — we don’t manage. We base our work on theory without being dogmatic and see ourselves as part of a larger movement. We collaborate with our partners on topics such as building and curating communities, coalitions, and ecosystems.
Within this scope, we have developed our ability to listen, make sense, question, design, co-host, and incubate.
Since the founding of iac Berlin in 2017, one of our central areas of work has been the coordination of the Bosch Alumni Network, which connects almost 10,000 former and current fellows, grantees, partners, and employees of the Robert Bosch Stiftung and supports them as agents of change in their communities.
The network contributes to an open, just, and sustainable world by convening diverse perspectives, enabling knowledge sharing, and empowering members to take collective action. With a decentralized structure and communities based on topics and regions, the network brings together members with shared interests and diverse backgrounds from over 200 programs and around 140 countries.
Each year, members contribute to the network’s mission through more than 100 activities worldwide.
