About The Role

Confluent is searching for a Senior Customer Success Technical Architect (CSTA) to act as a trusted technical advisor and advocate to work with our customers. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the success, retention, and expansion of our customers by providing technical guidance and best practices for the Confluent product suite. You will partner with Customer Solutions and cross‑functional divisions such as Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to help customers accelerate time to value, maximize product consumption, and achieve their business objectives.

What You Will Do

• Champion and advocate for the customer within Confluent.
• Identify customer technical objections and develop strategies.
• Proactively support customers through technical lifecycle activities.
• Guide customers up the data streaming maturity curve.
• Develop and present periodic customer reviews to Confluent senior management.
• Document and transfer knowledge to customers and internal teams.
• Leverage customer environments to influence the product roadmap.
• Assist Technical Support Engineers and Core Engineering in addressing customer issues.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated success in a technical field role for a product or SaaS company with enterprise customers.
• Passion for complex technical problems and modern infrastructure and streaming technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customers and deliver results across initiatives.
• Collaborative spirit and strong consulting and relationship‑management skills.
• Hands‑on knowledge of one or more key cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Solid understanding of cloud networking and security technologies.
• Experience in prototyping and analyzing code in multiple languages (Java, Python, Go, …).
• Experience with Java Virtual Machine tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience operating Linux and troubleshooting RedHat and Debian–based distributions.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and strong interest in doing so.

What Gives You An Edge

• Confluent Developer or Administrator certifications.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.
• Experience helping customers build distributed systems or streaming solutions.
