Senior D365FO Finance Consultant (Freelance, Nearshore)

Our client, an international manufacturing company, is entering the execution phase of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations rollout.

After a preparation phase in late 2025, the focus from January 2026 onwards is on Finance setup, stabilization, and integration with Supply Chain processes, targeting a Go-Live in July 2026.

We are looking for a Senior D365FO Finance Consultant to support the Finance stream during rollout and Go-Live.

Location: Hybrid (Remote + Travel to Germany)
Start: January 2026
Contract: Freelance
Duration: 3–6 months (extension possible)
Languages: English (very good), French a plus, German nice to have

Tasks

• Configure and validate D365FO Finance modules (General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Accounting)
• Set up and review posting profiles, financial dimensions, calendars, currencies, and tax configurations
• Ensure correct integration between Finance and Supply Chain / Warehouse processes
• Support data migration, opening balances, and finance-related testing (UAT)
• Work closely with the Project Lead and SCM/WMS consultants
• Support key users with workshops, training sessions, and documentation
• Assist during cutover, Go-Live, and hypercare phases
• Ensure finance processes are audit-ready and compliant

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations – Finance
• Strong expertise in GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting
• Hands-on experience with Finance setup and rollout projects
• Solid understanding of Finance–SCM integration
• Experience in German-speaking customer environments
• Very good English; French is a plus
