Tasks

• Follow the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on data-driven systems.
• Analyze system flows data usage and end-to-end data processing workflows.
• Identify data-related problem areas optimize performance and resolve pipeline issues.
• Lead and contribute to multiple Scrum teams providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Enforce clean secure and scalable data engineering best practices.
• Design and implement robust data architectures for internal products and external data interfaces.
• Design develop and optimize ETL / ELT pipelines to extract transform and load healthcare data from diverse sources.
• Ensure data quality integrity security and compliance through effective data governance and management practices.
• Collaborate closely with data analysts and stakeholders to deliver KPI dashboards and custom reports leveraging BI tools.
• Maintain and continuously improve data infrastructure to support performance scalability and reliability.
• Research evaluate and implement new tools technologies and best practices to enhance data workflows and platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 7 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a closely related backend / data-focused role.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms .
• Excellent proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases .
• Proven experience building and optimizing ETL / ELT pipelines preferably in the healthcare domain .
• Hands‑on experience with data processing and orchestration frameworks such as Apache Spark Airflow or similar tools.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs for data integration.
• Solid understanding of Git‑based workflows and version control.
• Experience with Docker and containerized data applications.
• Strong knowledge of clean secure and maintainable coding practices .
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies .
• Excellent documentation skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Proficiency with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau or Qlik .

• Experience with healthcare data standards such as HL7 FHIR or DICOM .
• Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations (e.g. HIPAA GDPR ).
• Frontend development experience for dashboard integration or data visualization.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP .
