Senior Data Engineer (f/m/x) role at CEPRES

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize robust, scalable data pipelines and architectures using Databricks, Snowflake, and SQL.
- Assist in designing and implementing data systems and pipelines, aligning closely with Data Engineering requirements.
- Demonstrate 2–3 years of experience leading small data engineering teams, coordinating workloads, and aligning technical execution with product priorities.
- Collaborate extensively with software engineering teams, and the Product team to ensure that data solutions meet application needs.
- Maintain and optimize existing data structures, ensuring integration with software applications.
- Document data processes and adhere to data governance standards while facilitating data usage by software teams.
- Mentor other data engineers at CEPRES.
- Along with the Product team, help coordinate the backlog of data engineering tasks.
- At times, lead technical discussions, provide architectural inputs if required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Databricks.
- 3-5 years of experience with Snowflake.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (including performance tuning, query optimization).
- Solid hands‑on experience with AWS Services (2 years).
- Experience or strong knowledge of AWS / Azure DevOps.
- Familiar with data visualization tools (in Power BI).
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with software engineering teams.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
- (Optional) Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and NoSQL databases.
