Senior Data Scientist, AI Content - (Consumer Insights & Marketing Tech) role at Delivery Hero. Join the AI Content Team to generate and enhance food images and video, turning data into visually engaging menus and shaping the global consumer experience for millions of users. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven, personalized interactions that support global growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the curation of large datasets comprising millions of food images to identify patterns, insights, and opportunities for improving image generation and enhancement.
• Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning and deep learning models to create or refine images and video content, ensuring scalability and robustness.
• Establish and optimize robust data pipelines and experiments to rigorously evaluate model performance, driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge AI solutions into production workflows, acting as a key technical facilitator.
• Define and implement strategies for evaluating the quality of generated media using automated metrics and user feedback.
• Communicate complex findings and project progress to diverse stakeholders, translating data insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D.) in a quantitative field and/or 5+ years of experience building and deploying deep learning models.
• Proficiency in Python with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of classical machine learning algorithms and neural networks.
• Experience with data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation for model training.
• Proficient in SQL with the ability to write complex queries for data manipulation and analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art computer vision or generative AI models (Diffusion, Adapters, Transformers, LLMs, etc.).
• Experience mentoring junior team members and managing external stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in computer vision or image/video generation fields.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, DVC, MLflow) and cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Publications at top-tier conferences (CVPR, NeurIPS, ICCV).
