Our client is a hyper-growth AdTech scale-up building a platform at the intersection of AdTech, AI, and IoT , laying the foundation for a new class of AI known as Large Consumer Models . The company connects digital media with the physical world and captures real-world consumer behaviour at scale.

They operate with a clear start-up / scale-up mindset. At the same time, it is part of a larger publicly listed technology group from Sweden – a combination of entrepreneurial dynamics, stable funding, long-term stability, and ambitious international growth plans.

The company is entering its next major growth phase. They are significantly expanding the German market, whilst scaling across Europe, and entering the US this year with the clear ambition to become the number one player in their segment short-term.

Following this growth, they are now hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to spearhead and also set up new infrastructure (Greenfield) behind this system. This role focuses on building and scalinghigh-throughput, low-latency infrastructure running on GCP and Kubernetes, supporting real-time data streams from thousands of distributed IoT devices. The system processes large volumes of events from physical environments and requires strong focus on reliability, observability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP (GKE, Cloud Run)
• Own Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform for multi-tenant environments
• Build and improveCI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cloud Deploy) for fast and reliable deployments
• Ensure system reliability and observability usingPrometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
• OptimiseKubernetes clusters and containerised environments (Docker) for high-throughput, low-latency workloads
• Support real-time data streams and backend systems usingFirestore, BigQuery, Redis, and MongoDB
• Implement security, networking, and IAM best practices across distributed systems
• Work closely with backend and frontend teams on system architecture and scaling challenges
• Build internal tooling and automation usingGo, Node.js, and gRPC-based services
• Use AI tools (Cursor, LLMs) to automate workflows and improve engineering velocity

Framework

• Salary up to €100,000 Base
• Fully Remote or hybrid setup with modern offices in Berlin
