(Senior) Electronics Technician (m/f/d)

About The Role

We are seeking a driven technician with proven hands‑on experience in soldering, desoldering, wire harnesses, and troubleshooting tasks. In this role, you will support and maintain existing products to ensure they remain fully operational and improve and develop new solutions for robust hardware. Success in this role requires both technical excellence and the ability to adapt and make decisions under uncertainty.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the robotics systems are ready to be used at all times.
  • Create detailed documentation, technical drawings, and assembly instructions for testing rigs or needed components.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, software, manufacturing) to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and quality control documentation, support and create SOPs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electronics issues during development and production phases.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in robotics and mechanical/electronics design.
  • Perform assembly and disassembly of robots/robots’ components, cables, and PCBs.
  • Carry out soldering, desoldering, wiring, and basic troubleshooting tasks (e.g., oscilloscope, signal analyzers).
  • Support procurement activities by identifying suitable products that meet requirements, sourcing suppliers, and obtaining quotations.
  • Open to traveling to China for business trips.
  • Work autonomously on an open‑ended, evolving task.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 3‑5 years of proven work experience in related fields.
  • Experience in robotics, mechatronics, or automation industries.
  • Background in designing robust cabling solutions and cable harnesses.
  • Familiarity with electronics design and PCB production stages.
  • Knowledge of structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis to validate designs.
  • Hands‑on experience with soldering SMD components.
  • Proficiency in Altium / Solidworks.
  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics design principles.
  • Knowledge of actuators and sensors in robotics, familiarity with sensor integration (force/torque sensors, encoders, IMUs).
  • Hands‑on experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting).
  • Able to find fast solutions to common problems.
