Location: Raunheim, near Frankfurt, Germany

Chery Automobile is a leading Chinese automotive company and an international brand with operations in more than 80 countries.

We are looking for a (Senior) Engineer – Vehicle Dynamics & Chassis to join our Engineering Center in Raunheim. You will support the development of our European vehicles locally and globally in collaboration with teams in China.

Job Description

Support the chassis and vehicle dynamics team with assessment and rating of chassis hardware and geometry assumptions in the advanced project phase
Lead hardware specification decisions of vehicle projects for Europe based on European customer requirements
Develop attribute roadmap to achieve EU‑benchmark‑based program targets
Lead vehicle EU‑specific tuning for Steering, Braking, Ride Comfort and Handling
Support other global programs in China with tuning experience
Monitor latest upcoming development trends and technologies within chassis area
Close collaboration with development teams in our R&D centers in Wuhu & Shanghai (China), suppliers, engineering companies and universities

Requirements

Degree in Automotive Engineering or comparable
Significant (>5 years) experience in vehicle chassis tuning activities
Experience in vehicle dynamics experimental measurement and simulations
Deep knowledge of at least one chassis system (tire, steering, braking or suspension)
Experience in vehicle dynamics target settings
Expert driving and vehicle evaluation skills
Experience with dynamic simulator is advantageous
Willingness to travel and possess a valid European driving license
Willingness to work in an international and intercultural environment
Pro‑active and self‑motivated attitude
Good communication with an open and structured mindset
Good computer and presentation skills (MS Office, etc.)
Fluent in English
Mandarin skills are advantageous
