Senior Engineering and Design Manager - Pharma Projects (m/f/d)

In this role, you ensure that the entire project planning and execution process is carried out as efficiently as possible while adhering to the defined project budget and schedule. You are responsible for ensuring that the overall project plan is continuously maintained and kept up to date by all involved disciplines, trades, and service providers at all times.

Explore Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Full coordination and management of interfaces between the key project disciplines (civil works, structural engineering, architecture, mechanical, electrical, process engineering, process automation, plant engineering)
• Leadership and coordination of internal and external design and engineering partners
• Management of design reviews (e.g. P&IDs, 3D models)
• Support of the Project Management team in proposal preparation and project planning (resource planning, scheduling, design change management)
• Preparation of reporting on current and forecasted design status (schedule control and management of design changes)
• Analysis, structuring, prioritization and allocation of tasks, including tracking of results related to design and engineering deliverables
• Optimization of design and engineering workflows

Show Your Expertise

• Completed degree in Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
• Multiple years of proven experience in leading and managing EPC projects in high‑tech plant engineering across all project execution phases
• Strong familiarity with engineering workflows and core systems (e.g. development of P&IDs and 3D models, specifications, system and functional descriptions, simulation and calculations); extensive knowledge of GMP or comparable regulatory standards is an advantage
• Solid technical understanding of interdisciplinary dependencies and technical documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
• High willingness to travel and readiness for extended on‑site assignments
