(Senior) Engineering Manager | €20m Series A | Ex-FAANG Founders | Berlin (Hybrid) AI Futures have been exclusively retained to appoint a (Senior) Engineering Manager for one of the fastest growing AI Scale-Ups on the planet who are looking to double in size over the next 12 months. The Company is pioneering the new 'AI Internet', with their innovative AI-driven marketing platform empowering Fortune 500 brands across the world to navigate the AI internet era and stay ahead of the competition. You'll be surrounded by industry veterans and top 1% Engineers across all disciplines to accelerate a true success story. With Series B on the horizon, this is an extremely exciting time to join the organisation and a unique opportunity to help shape the foundation of a fast-moving, product-driven Scale-Up during a critical phase of growth. This can be a fully remote position across Germany but ideally you are based in Berlin or willing to commute to Berlin. The fixed salary is up to €150k + Bonus + Equity. The role: Lead hiring, onboarding, and team scaling initiatives to build a mature, high-velocity engineering organisation aligned with business growth.Drive execution excellence by evolving processes, tools, and metrics for reliable delivery, ensuring quality and cross-functional collaboration.Mentor and coach individual contributors, providing feedback to enhance skills and alignment with team objectives.Champion engineering culture focused on technical excellence, autonomy, ownership, and collaborative innovation.Collaborate with product, design, and business leads to define roadmaps, while contributing to code reviews and technical decisions. The Candidate: Leadership Experience: Proven track record scaling engineering teams in startups, with strong product acumen and customer empathy.Technical Proficiency: Fluent in modern practices including CI/CD, AWS, infrastructure automation, testing, and system reliability.Communication Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, influencing cross-functionally while empowering teams without micromanagement.Startup Mindset: Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, with humility, clarity, and high standards for craftsmanship.
