Senior Financial Analyst BUF Supply Chain (m/f/d)
Senior Financial Analyst BUF Supply Chain will act as a strategic finance partner to the EMEA Plan, Source and Supplier Engineering departments based in EMEA / Aachen. This position will ensure accurate financials, lead planning and forecasting activities with the business in line with strategic priorities and provide actionable financial insights through the development and delivery of performance reporting and analysis. The role is part of the Heart Recovery Supply Chain and Operations organization and partners closely with the US counterpart, Global Services and business partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Opex, Capex and Inventory budgeting, forecast updates, latest thinking and actual reporting with the business in alignment with the overall Supply Chain Finance planning calendar for a dedicated area in supply chain.
- Own cost‑center budget vs. actual analytics including P&L, capex and headcount with respective regional business leaders; develop commentary with business input, provide counsel and influence decision‑making and action planning to adhere to target commitments.
- Develop and deliver analytics and action plans with business partners for slow‑moving and obsolete inventories, identify root causes and influence remediation, incorporate impacts into budget, forecasts and long‑term plans.
- Own PPV analysis: partner with procurement and operations to build analytics, define drivers and implement corrective actions; reflect PPV impacts in budget, forecast and long‑term planning.
- Oversee physical inventory controls and ensure count integrity and timely resolution of variances in line with compliance requirements.
- Perform financial analysis of scrap drivers, recommend mitigation actions and track savings.
- Serve as Finance lead for change requests – support the systemic process to execute new or changes to material master, assess financial impact and ensure appropriate controls.
- Manage GR/IR reconciliation and oversight: monitor GR/IR balances, coordinate investigations and ensure month‑end accuracy.
- Support the preparation and submission of Capital Appropriation Request ("CAR") for the dedicated supply chain area in line with JNJ policy.
- Own SOX controls and ensure compliance with SOX and other internal policies and procedures.
- Establish efficient interaction model with appropriate business partners, global services and other members of the supply chain team.
- Proactively partner with business partners to ensure alignment of financial targets and identification of potential opportunities and risks.
- Forge internal collaboration both within and outside of the wider Supply Chain Finance team to ensure high service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; high proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Adaptive Insights preferred.
- Intellectual curiosity and confidence to operate autonomously with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables and adapt in a fast‑changing environment.
- Strong financial analysis skills and ability to quickly adapt to use of new systems and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Location: Aachen, Germany – may require up to 5% travel.

Anticipated base pay range: 75,000 to 118,450 EUR.
