Senior Financial Data Analyst (m/f/d)

Our Financial Data and Automation Team drives the digital transformation of ABOUT YOU's Finance organization, collaborating closely with diverse teams across the company. They go beyond reporting and automation, unlocking value from Germany’s first e-commerce unicorn's extensive data ecosystem – spanning over €1.9 billion in group revenue, 4,000+ brands, and multiple revenue streams.

As a Senior Financial Data Analyst (m/f/d) , you will play a key role in shaping our data and reporting landscape. You transform complex financial and operational data into actionable insights and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust data models based on financial and operational data to enable complex analyses for our Finance teams
• Conduct advanced quantitative analyses of large, multi-source data sets, aligning operational and transactional accounting data with financial reporting standards
• Lead end-to-end data-driven financial reporting projects using descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders
• Perform advanced exploratory data analysis (EDA) and data modeling to uncover underlying structures and relationships in the data - even in the absence of explicit business context
• Act as a trusted partner and thought leader on data and finance topics
• Design and implement interactive dashboards in Google BigQuery and Looker Studio

Requirements

• University degree in Business Informatics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Several years of professional experience in Data Analytics, ideally with a financial focus
• Strong proficiency in data modeling and exploratory analysis using SQL and Python
• Proven ability to interpret complex data, identify root causes, and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• High analytical capability, curiosity, and attention to detail
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Google BigQuery) and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage
• Familiarity with project management frameworks and additional programming or scripting languages is a plus
