Freelance TypeScript Developer (React/Next.js) – Localisation Project

Location: Remote (CEST ±2 hours only)

Duration: 3 months (extension possible)

A fast-moving product-led tech team is rolling out a major localisation effort across their entire frontend estate – over 40 repositories covering a suite of internal and customer-facing tools.

We’re looking for a mid to senior TypeScript engineer to join the lead developer and help implement structured i18n changes. Much of the early work involves well-defined, updates – but it has a massive impact on global product reach. Later stages will include integration with a third-party localisation platform, custom config, and deep testing.

The stack:

• TypeScript, React, Next.js
• Jest for unit tests
• Cypress and Visual Regression Testing (VRT) for E2E and UI consistency
• GitHub, CI, modern tooling

Must have:

• Solid React + TypeScript experience (Next.js a plus)
• Experience with localisation/internationalisation best practices
• Confidence in writing robust unit and E2E tests
• Based in a CEST ±2 timezone for easier collaboration
• Independent, reliable, and pragmatic

This is a hands-on build role with meaningful scope. You’ll help lay the foundations for multilingual support across a large product suite.
