Tasks

• Architect our Application: Independently design, develop, and optimize modern web applications with a focus on the backend.
• End‑to‑End Ownership: Manage the complete development lifecycle – from requirements analysis to testing and deployment.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, product, and other engineering teams to continually refine the system architecture.
• System Optimization & Scaling: Establish best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Technical Leadership: Contribute to technical decisions, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing and excellence.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in full‑stack / backend development with a strong command of modern back‑end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python).
• Demonstrated ability to build scalable, high‑performance web applications and implement effective optimization strategies.
• Experience in agile development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing to ensure rapid, reliable delivery.
• Proficiency in backend frameworks and integration of RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and caching techniques.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a passion for clean, maintainable code.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of cross‑functional collaboration and glue work.
• Highly motivated and proactive, eager to take ownership of the full domain and follow through in a fast‑paced, aspiring startup environment.
• Fluency in English and good command of German.
