About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team at dealerdesk to play a key role in building and evolving our modern, web-based CRM platform.
Our platform powers over 1,200 dealerships across the DACH region, helping businesses streamline operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences. After a period of considerable growth, we are investing in the team to continue to scale and expand the product.

In this role, you will design, develop, test and maintain both front-end and back-end components of a highly scalable, automated platform. Our front-end is a single page application written in Vue.js, Typescript & Vuetify, the back-end is written in Java, Spring Boot, MySQL & Elastic search.

You will work in an agile environment, actively contributing to the design and development of new features from initial requirements through to deployment and ongoing support. This role offers the opportunity to influence our tools, technologies, and processes as we continue to grow and evolve at dealerdesk.

Key responsibilities include:

• Front-end and back-end development of our modern, web-based CRM platform, writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Analyse customer requirements and translate them into technical solution concepts
• Conduct unit and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito and Jest
• Actively participate in regular code reviews with the wider team
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, providing technical support and documenting solutions for future reference
• Provide effective third-level support when required
• Collaborate closely with key departments, including Customer Support and Sales
• Participate in supplier calls for current and future integrations. Attend customer calls as needed to discuss and explain technical requirements
• Contribute to platform documentation and maintain a comprehensive technical wiki
• Support continuous adoption and improvement of our agile development processes
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends

We are looking for:

5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with knowledge of at least some of the following is essential:

• AWS
• TypeScript
• Vue.js (or a similar framework, such as Angular, React etc)
• Vuetify
• Java
• Spring Boot
• MySQL
• Elasticsearch
• Gitlab CI/CD
