At Omio and Rome2Rio, we're building the next generation of native travel advertising—a premium product suite connecting top tourism brands with tens of millions of global travelers.

We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer based in Berlin to join our Ads Product team, which is leading this high-impact, cross-brand initiative. You'll work across both platforms, building the end-to-end architecture for a brand-new monetisation engine.

This is a rare opportunity to build from scratch, own full-stack systems across backend and frontend, and shape the advertising experience at global scale—right from Omio's engineering hub in Berlin.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend services and APIs for native ad delivery and monetisation logic
• Develop responsive user-facing components with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Integrate with internal systems and external ad platforms
• Design clean API contracts and ensure seamless user experiences
• Shape deployment, CI/CD, and monitoring pipelines
• Collaborate with distributed teams across Berlin, Europe, and Australia

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development
• Strong frontend skills in React, TypeScript, JavaScript

• Backend expertise in one or more of the following:

• – with API/server-side experience
• – .NET / C#

• – Java (Spring Boot or similar)

• Deep understanding of scalable architecture, RESTful APIs, and modern deployment pipelines

• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Strong product mindset and interest in building high-performance user-facing systems
• Bonus: experience in ad tech, content platforms, or partner integrations
