In Scalable’s growing Data Department, we are looking for developers for our new team “Data Integration & Management”. This team has a two‑fold mission: on the one hand, the team is responsible for bringing data products (e.g., machine learning models) into production. On the other hand, they provide software solutions enabling smooth implementation of regulatory data‑related requirements (such as data protection‑required deletions). Thus, this team constitutes an essential bridge between data teams, other engineering teams, and business as well as legal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as an engineer in an agile team of backend and full‑stack engineers, with highly ambitious and skilled colleagues in the growing data department
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, and other engineering teams
• Bring data products to production and reveal real business value
• Develop software solutions for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements around data (e.g., automated data protection deletions)
• Work with cutting‑edge technologies and participate in modern software development practices (agile teams, continuous integration and deployment, test automation, cloud infrastructure and tooling)
• Write clean, testable, maintainable, and well‑documented code with a strong focus on security aspects

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, mathematics, or a similar field
• Strong programming skills in Java/Kotlin – Spring Boot (backend) and JavaScript, React, Node (frontend); Python is a plus
• Experience developing code and building infrastructure on AWS
• Experience leading complex software projects with end‑to‑end ownership, building microservices
• Interest in data projects and data‑driven business applications
• Experience with Google Tag Manager and Consent Management is a plus
• Motivation to implement regulatory obligations arising from data protection law
• Good communication skills that are clear, open, and concise; professional proficiency in English
• Interest in the FinTech industry
• Positive outlook on life and a sense of humour
