Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer / Project Lead to join our team in either Nuremberg or Munich. This role involves leading geotechnical projects with a strong focus on infrastructure development. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for complex projects, including working in partnership with major firms like Deutsche Bahn.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from concept to completion.


• Perform geotechnical analysis and design for infrastructure projects, including foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures.


• Oversee structural design (static calculations) and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.


• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.


• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and project proposals.


• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.


• Experience: Proven experience in geotechnical engineering and project leadership.


• Strong background in infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, tunnels, etc.).


• Static (structural design) experience is essential.


• Rail project experience is a strong advantage.


• Skills: Excellent knowledge of geotechnical analysis and design software.


• Strong project management and leadership skills.


• Fluent in German (C1 level) and proficient in English.
