Position Overview

As a Senior Health & Safety Specialist at TELUS Digital, you will lead the health & safety department, cooperate closely with our Wellbeing department, and lead informational and promotional health & safety activities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Lead and implement comprehensive H&S strategies across the organization
• Lead the H&S department and coordinate with regulatory bodies
• Provide expert H&S consultation to all levels of the organization
• Promote leadership opportunities within our internationally growing company
• Conduct and certify official risk assessments
• Develop proposals for control measures and reduction of risks derived from assessments
• Plan preventive initiatives and direct actions to be developed
• Advise on the prevention of occupational risks
• Create and implement emergency response plans and simulations
• Prepare self-protection plans
• Lead serious accident investigations and kickstart derived actions

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure regulatory compliance with German H&S regulations
• Develop H&S policies and procedures
• Prepare and sign legal technical reports
• Prepare necessary prevention documentation and technical prevention reports
• Prepare coordination manuals for business activities
• Promote application of current regulations on occupational risk prevention

Training & Communication

• Develop and deliver certified H&S training programs
• Provide information and training to employees
• Ensure preparation of procedures and updating of internal standards for dissemination and compliance

Health Management

• Collaborate closely with the Wellbeing department

Mandatory Requirements

• Relevant academic background in Health & Safety or related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional H&S experience
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Deep knowledge of German H&S regulations and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to conduct accident investigations and implement corrective actions
