Frankfurt , supporting the first phase of a major transformation project,
with strong prospects of permanent employment .
Role Overview As a
Senior HR Business Partner , you will act as a strategic advisor to Partners and Business Services leaders, playing a key role in shaping and executing the firm’s People & Culture strategy in Germany. You will drive organizational performance, foster a high-engagement culture, and ensure alignment between local needs and global HR priorities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic People Leadership Provide strategic HR guidance to Partners and leaders, supporting workforce planning, capability building, and organizational design. Lead initiatives across talent management, succession planning, staff engagement, performance culture, and well-being.
Trusted Partner to the Business Build strong, trusted relationships with Partners, fee-earners, and business functions in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. Act as a coach and advisor on people issues, team dynamics, leadership development, and change.
Transformation & Change Serve as a change agent during a key transition phase for the German office. Bring best practices, market insights, and innovative HR solutions to drive continuous improvement.
People Operations Excellence Collaborate with specialist HR teams (Talent, L&D, Reward, Diversity & Inclusion, etc.) to strengthen processes and policies. Deliver insightful HR analytics and reporting to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with German labor law and firm policies. In the German context, support interactions with the
Betriebsrat
(works council) when applicable.
Culture, Inclusion & Employee Experience Promote an inclusive culture and help embed the firm’s values across all HR levers. Strengthen employee experience initiatives and support engagement programmes tailored to the German offices.
Ideal Candidate Profile Previous experience in the
legal sector
or strong understanding of law firm dynamics and partnership structures. Fluent proficiency in
German and English . Sound knowledge of
German employment law
and HR compliance. Demonstrated capability in coaching, facilitation, organisational development, and business strategy support. Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills. Proven ability to influence senior leaders and operate with credibility in an international environment. Experience in a People & Culture or HR Business Partner role in Germany is a strong asset.
