About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical HVAC Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with engineers and designers in a team environment to prepare construction documents for various systems, including HVAC wet/dry, plumbing, controls and related systems.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering tasks for the design of utilities and HVAC dry systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional facilities.
Prepare mechanical engineering calculations in support of HVAC system designs including heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water hydraulics, static pressure calculations, equipment sizing and selection.
Coordinate with disciplines in the preparation and development of deliverables and ensure other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated.
Support projects on-site execution and make decisions to support projects and act as a technical consultant.
Assist in developing studies and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by discipline team.
Collaborate closely with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices.
Assist in developing conceptual design, preliminary design, and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
Several years of professional experience with TGA and clean room technology systems ideally in the semiconductor industry.
General knowledge of codes and common industry standards related to the design of industrial and manufacturing facilities and systems.
Good knowledge in the design of HVAC systems.
Proficiency in German is required; knowledge of English would be an advantage.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
