We make a difference together

Siemens Mobility is a self‑managed company of the Siemens AG and has been a leading provider in mobility for over 160 years. Our core business includes railway vehicles, railway automation and electrification solutions, turnkey systems and related services. We have always been innovative to make travel faster, safer, and more comfortable. Today we need new solutions for new challenges such as climate change and the world's rising population. This is what drives us. We therefore design mobility with passion and stay one step ahead. Through digitalisation we make infrastructures intelligent and create opportunities that seamlessly bring us from A to B. Our 40,000 employees are pioneers in mobility, helping keep the world in motion.

What do you bring to the table?

In your new role you actively shape the future of railway infrastructure. On our construction sites in Bavaria we build and modernise signal stations and their electromechanical components – from installation through testing to commissioning. You will mainly be on site for one or more days per project. The station of employment is Braunschweig; deployment is in Bavaria.

Responsibilities

  • After a thorough training, you will mount, test, and activate components in railway traffic systems as part of our projects, both in signal control and track side, and put them into operation.
  • You will implement work orders according to the instructions of your construction manager, coordinate the local deployment and workflow and support the organisation of the team within the project.
  • You will prepare the required material and tools, set up the work area and always observe the applicable safety requirements.
  • You will mount electrical and mechanical components, conduct functional tests and cable measurements, troubleshoot issues and document your work using checklists.

Qualifications

  • You have a completed technical apprenticeship, e.g. as an electronics technician (m/f/d) for operations technology, mechatronics (m/f/d) or a comparable technical occupation. Ideally you also have completed a technician or master level training.
  • You have relevant professional experience in the assembly, maintenance or servicing of technical systems – ideally in the railway sector, e.g. in signal mechanics.
  • You enjoy regularly learning new projects and sites, and can work on‑site at the site from Monday to Friday and sometimes weekends.
  • Team spirit, personal responsibility and a proactive, solution‑oriented working style are your strengths. You already have experience working efficiently with a construction manager.
  • You speak fluent German and are familiar with the standard office tools.

Benefits

Work Life Balance – flexible working hours and the possibility of a sabbatical allow you to balance work and life. Your working hours are tariff‑based; overtime is compensated and you enjoy 30 days vacation per year.

Competitive conditions – attractive remuneration including the tariff package (e.g. additional allowances and holiday pay) and further benefits such as pension scheme and equity programme.

Family and work compatibility – additional childcare support so you can focus on your career without compromising family life.

Diversity & Inclusion – we are committed to equality and welcome applications from people with disabilities.
